We're looking for a Team Lead of Product Data Engineers to organize reliable and scalable cloud infrastructure, help in designing and maintaining clean & discoverable data products, improve delivery processes etc.

More about Your team

You will lead a team of 3 experienced Data Engineers and your primary stakeholders will be Product and Customer Success Analysts. You would act as a Data Product owner for your team and lead the development of the Data Management Framework for the whole Wrike. Currently we're moving towards Data Mesh and your expertise & leadership will be in high demand.

How we work

Our current data stack: Python + Kotlin, Postgres, Kafka, Kubernetes, Airflow, GCP (BigQuery, DataFlow, GKE, GCS etc).

How You'll make an impact

  • By acting as a Product Owner for Data Products of your Team
  • Via coordination & prioritization of work of your team, craft & deliver quarterly OKRs
  • Via coordinating team activities with Frontend, Backend and other teams
  • By assessing team value-delivery processes for further improvement
  • By motivating and helping your teammates to grow professionally
  • Via design, development and monitoring of high-quality data warehouse elements
  • By improving Data Discovery by crafting the "Single Source of Truth" data products
  • By working towards further Data Quality improvement (extending monitoring, alerting, validations & anomaly detection)
  • By collecting & analyzing stakeholders' requirements
  • By helping Product & Customer Success Analysts to discover data with minimal efforts
  • By helping Stakeholders creating & maintaining the reliable data assets
  • By migrating existing Data Assets to Data Products (articulate owners and guarantees)

You will achieve your best if you have

  • 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering (or Backend with emphasis on data processing, Data Science with emphasis on infrastructure)
  • 2+ years of Team leadership
  • Business maturity: value prioritization, long-term vision, efficient balance between strategy & tactics, work without frequent supervision
  • Ambitious in goal setting and passionate about delivering results
  • Superb communications & negotiation skills
  • English at an Upper-Intermediate level
  • Passion about Data
  • Cloud experience: GCP, AWS or Azure
  • Experience with data pipeline systems (Airflow, Dagster, Argo or similar)
  • Experience with ETL, streaming or messaging
  • Experience with SQL

  • Development, testing, deployment, and assurance of the reliability of data-intensive applications
  • Good Understanding of Data Modeling (Kimball, Inmon, SCDs, Data Vault, Anchor Modeling)
  • Metadata and Knowledge organization
  • BigQuery, Exasol, or Vertica
  • Google Pub/Sub, Google DataFlow, Google Kubernetes Engine, Apache Kafka, Kafka Streams, Apache Flink, Spark Streaming, etc.
  • Pandas/SciPy/NumPy/Sci-Kit Learn and other Python analytics tools
