Data Engineer

That is why we are expanding our NN International Data Science Hub, a center of excellence for AI and Data, located in Prague and established at the heart of NN Group organization.

Our job is to innovate, deliver excellence and commitment within all 11 countries of NN through data management and data science projects using the latest cloud technology.

You will join the data management team working with the rest of data engineers supporting data scientists and individual business units of NN International. The team is responsible for development and deployment of data solutions to enable analytics capabilities, ensuring they are adopted across NN International. It reports directly to the Head Office’s Manager and collaborates with the Data Governance office and Data Science Hub.

• You will closely collaborate with business analysts, data scientists on activities related to data topics
• Your role will be mainly to help develop and deploy data pipelines and productionalize machine learning use cases by leveraging NN Azure cloud platform
• You should be comfortable writing complex SQL scripts, have good understanding of relational databases and big data technologies, being able to write at least basic scripts in some other programming language of your choice
• You should enjoy working with data, you are curious about new technologies and *trends.

• You have experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
• You have experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: *Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
• You have experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools like Airflow, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, etc.
• You have experience with Azure cloud service
• You have good knowledge of SQL programming language and relational databases
• You are familiar with Data Lake, Data warehouse concept, having experience with at least one of them
• Have good knowledge of relational databases and big data technologies
• You have some knowledge of containers: Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift, etc.
• Fluent English
