We are building scalable global fintech from Brno with the support of the entire Purple group, which is in charge of the development of payment systems and applications for e-commerce, e-wallets and providers of payment methods. If you're thinking "large corporation", stop right there - you can expect a rather small, international and flexible team.
Four years ago, we started developing our two main apps: payment gateway and e-wallet solution. At the moment, the team is standing in front of quite challenging times because a soft launch date is getting closer and closer. A lot of good work has been already done, but also a lot of work is ahead. That's why we are looking for someone to help us revise & adjust our QA processes, select the right tools, and lead the QA team while participating in the creation of automation projects.
How do we work?
We work remotely during the week, but from time to time - at least once a month - the team needs to meet in person. Usually, it's in Brno, other times we meet in different parts of the Czech Republic.
Tools and technologies we use for our development:
- PHP 8 and Laravel with React frontend
- MariaDB
- CI/CD - CircleCI
- Infrastructure on AWS / Kubernetes
- GitHub
WHAT WILL YOUR JOB LOOK LIKE?
A significant part of this role is leading the QA team.
- You will be responsible for the overall review and possible setup of new testing processes/tools.
- At the same time, you will work on Automation projects, which means you will write test scripts, create automatized E2E tests, and participate in their maintenance.
- You will work very closely with developers, designers, product owner, and other testers.
- You will verify that the individual functions and the entire web/mobile application are delivered by the developers in good quality, without bugs and errors.
- You will reproduce bugs and document them in the appropriate software.
WHO ARE YOU?
You have already led a QA team and would be happy to share your experience.
- You want to influence things - we are quite a small team, moreover, we would like you to help us find a direction "where to go" and "how to do it".
- You want to be able to change things (actually, it's expected) and we are able to give you space for self-realization.
- You can write test scripts for automated and manual testing and have automated tests.
- You have experience maintaining and debugging test code and have done code reviews.
- You have experience with any Selenium based framework or Cypress.
- You know how to work with Jira and test management tools such as TestRail, XRay, etc.
- Communicating in English is a piece of cake for you – we are an international team, so you will deliver the output of your work to the team/developer in English.
- You don't mind coming to Brno once in a while (about once a month).
