Data Analyst / Analytics Engineer

GAMEE is a Czech-founded company dedicated to game development, creating strong game communities with players from around the world, and bringing web3 technologies to the gaming industry. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Data Analyst / Analytics Engineer to join our data team in Prague. This role entails close collaboration with various stakeholders within the company, so being able to work on-site is important. You will work alongside a junior and a senior data professional, contributing to the company’s data-driven decision-making process.
We have built GAMEE as a high-engagement mobile gaming platform where players compete in skill-based tournaments to earn prizes for their activity. 75.000.000+ players registered on GAMEE so far and every month, they played over 9.2bn gameplays across more than 100 games.
We have launched cooperations with some of the biggest brands such as NASA, Manchester City or Guinness World Records, with more big names to come.
We are taking blockchain technology to mainstream gaming. We have launched $GMEE utility token to serve as engagement, action and reward currency. We introduced new blockchain gaming app Arc8 allowing players to earn $GMEE tokens and we have released Beasts - unique collectible and fun characters you can mint into a real non-fungible tokens (NFTs) - in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). What you earn, you own, so that you can use it, keep it to grow in value, trade it, sell it! Our mission is to recognise and reward gaming skill, effort, and loyalty. A true Play-to-Earn.
Key Responsibilities
- write, optimize, and manage complex SQL queries in Snowflake
- design, build, and maintain ETL processes in Keboola
- use Python to write API requests and automation
- collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- communicate with team members and provide necessary support
Requirements
- strong SQL skills (Snowflake preferred)
- proficient in using any ETL tool (Keboola preferred)
- basic knowledge of Python (be able to write API requests)
- excellent communication skills
- professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken
- ability to work in Prague and come to the office most days, as this role requires frequent interaction with stakeholders and team members
Nice to Have
- experience with dbt and/or Apache Airflow
- experience with any BI visualization tool (Tableau preferred)
- familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing best practices
- experience with working in a team environment
